Currently, there are 4 airlines operating routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc: Vietnam Airlines (5-6 round-trip flights / day), Vietjet Air (2-3 flights / day), Jetstar Pacific (3 flights / day) and Bamboo Airways (2 flights / day). Depending on the airline and the type of ticket you choose, the flight ticket price to Phu Quoc differs. However, the fare will range from $34.5 to $86.26.
For cheap flights from Saigon to Phu Quoc island you can book online at the websites of airlines, or at other airline ticketing websites; or go to an airline ticketing agent to buy and receive tickets directly.

III - Traveling by bus from Ho Chi Minh to Phu Quoc

There are two routes by bus:
1 - Bus from Ho Chi Minh to Rach Gia port and ferry from Rach Gia port to Phu Quoc
Rach Gia City is about 255km from Ho Chi Minh City and the travel time is about 6 hours, costing about $4.74 to $5.18. To Rach Gia city, you rent a motorbike taxi to the pier with only about $1/trip to catch Phu Quoc. There are 2 reputable shipping lines that are loved by many customers: SuperDong or Phu Quoc Express, the price being about $10.78/ticket.
2 - Bus from Ho Chi Minh to Rach Gia port and ferry from Ha Tien port to Phu Quoc
The second route of Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc bus, you can go to Ha Tien city and then go to Phu Quoc, the distance of this route is estimated at 310km. Departing from the Western bus station (Ho Chi Minh City) to Ha Tien bus station, taking about 9 hours, the fare is $7.98. From Ha Tien, if traveling by ferry, there is a ferry to the island at 8:20 a.m. everyday at Thanh Thoi ferry and the travel time is about 2 hours. If traveling by speedboat, the time will be around 1 hour and start from Ha Tien pier.

Going to Phu Quoc by bus and then going by high speed boat is a more cost-effective option than going by plane. During the process of travelling, you can enjoy nature comfortably and completely. However, due to the long distance and travel time, this form is not suitable for people with poor health or chronic diseases. In particular, traveling by boat or ferry is not suitable for people with seasickness when spending many hours at sea.
